AAQ - Guest Experience Team Member

Join Our Dynamic Guest Experience Team! Adventure Aquarium is seeking enthusiastic and outgoing individuals to join our Guest Experience team. In this role, you’ll help create memorable experiences for our guests by leading scheduled programs, participating in seasonal themed events, and facilitating interactive touch exhibits.


What you’ll do

  • Deliver fun and educational content during scripted programs.
  • Adhere to given dialogue and communication
  • Facilitate Touch Exhibit experiences
  • Participate in aquarium educational messaging and guest engagement programs, including animal encounters, guided tours, and after-hours events.
  • Confidently handle animals in compliance with AZA standards and state safety regulations.
  • Set up and breakdown equipment and activities; ensure touch exhibits operate smoothly, including monitoring animal and guest safety throughout the day
  • Be able to handle cash and adhere to proper PCI standards
  • Support Adventure Aquarium’s overall guest experience through excellent guest service and provide operational support as needed
  • Assist the Guest Experience department with other duties as needed

  • Allergies related to animals or plants, which might interfere with ability to work, must be controlled by medications or protective equipment.
  • Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time, sit for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend and stoop, walk long distances
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Special Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a background investigation.
  • No allergy to plants or animals which may interfere with ability to work.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Able to spend most of the workday walking/standing in aquarium public spaces.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds.
