Your Opportunity, Your Team

  • The Analyst Marketing Services supports Cornerstone Brands (Ballard Designs, Frontgate, Grandin Road, Garnet Hill), and is responsible for producing accurate and timely mailings. This role is heavily hands-on and technical, with the majority of work performed in SQL Server 2020. The Analyst develops, maintains, and executes programming code used to cleanse, standardize, merge, and purge customer mailing lists to meet business and postal requirements.

    You will report to the Director of Marketing Services.

Where You'll Work
  • This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at our West Chester, OH office several days per month. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
What You’ll Do
  • Ensure merges (catalogs and specialty mailings) are completed on time and with 100% accuracy.
  • Monitor quality of data imported/exported in the merge process.
  • Ensure new processes are coded and executed properly.
  • Maintain scripts in a way that support departmental best practices.
  • Understand and run existing stored procedures, scripts.
  • Write new SQL code for each mailing using instructions from the business users.
  • Use SSIS and FTP to import/export and send/receive files.
  • Become proficient in the third-party postal software we use to standardize mailing addresses and remove duplicates.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with SQL
  • Ability to write SQL Server T-SQL code to execute complex merge instructions from the circulation team. The code must be completed in a short amount of time under deadlines.
  • Strong programming ability, with great attention to detail and design.
  • Understand and run existing stored procedures, scripts.
  • Knowledge of Direct Marketing/Circulation is a plus
  • Experience working in a production IT environment
  • Experience using postal software like Verimove, Code-1, Merge/Purge, Spectrum preferred
