APS Analyst

Modern Woodmen of America is looking for a detail-oriented and customer focused individual to obtain Attending Physician Statements (APS), which are medical records requested from a client’s physician, via phone, email, and fax with various medical facilities across the country for our Underwriting department. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with different audiences using excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Order Attending Physician Statement (APS) by contacting the medical office or copy service from reports provided in real time.
  • Research online to find correct contact information for the provider.
  • Maintain a record of communications for each request.
  • Follow-up with the provider at designated intervals until the APS is received.
  • Notify the Underwriter of any obstructions or questions about the APS request.
  • Email any special authorizations to the Financial Representative of record.
  • Distribute the APS when received via internal workflow system.
  • Record payment information.
  • Reconcile payments periodically.

What we need:

  • High School Diploma or better.
  • Computer and spreadsheet knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well with the pressure of deadlines and be a productive member of the team.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be professional and discreet. Position includes access to confidential data.

What we offer:

  • Pay: The hourly pay for this position is $19.00. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
  • Work Arrangements: This is a full-time office focused, hourly position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7 a.m.-9 a.m. Office focused positions work on-site due to the nature of the work and have limited remote days.
