This is a people management role first — you will oversee a team of approximately four pricing analysts who handle the day-to-day data analysis, competitive monitoring, and pricing adjustments. Your primary responsibility is to empower, organize, and optimize that team while developing a strong working knowledge of pricing strategy and industry practices.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator, both written and verbal, with a natural aptitude for structured thinking, team coordination, and continuous learning. A background in law, contract analysis, compliance, or similar fields is highly advantageous — particularly for interpreting, applying, and strategically navigating Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policies across our digital channels.</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Lead and manage a team of ~4 pricing analysts, providing direction, structure, and day-to-day oversight of their workflow and output.</li> <li>Serve as the organizational hub of the pricing department — coordinate priorities, streamline processes, and ensure the team operates efficiently, while working independently simultaneously.</li> <li>Develop a working understanding of pricing strategies, margin management, and ecommerce pricing trends to provide informed leadership and guidance.</li> <li>Oversee MAP policy compliance across all digital channels — identifying potential violations by competitors and communicating findings to MAP administrators.</li> <li>Interpret MAP policy language with precision; apply a detail-oriented, analytical approach to assess compliance boundaries and strategically evaluate where policies may create opportunities or ambiguities.</li> <li>Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders (sales, ecommerce, product) and external parties (MAP administrators, vendors) on pricing matters.</li> <li>Review team output for accuracy, escalate issues appropriately, and maintain high standards for data integrity — without necessarily performing the analysis directly.</li> <li>Monitor industry pricing trends and competitor behavior, briefing leadership on relevant developments.</li> <li>Support the development of internal pricing documentation, SOPs, and reporting processes.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h2><strong>Skills and Requirements</strong></h2> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in a team leadership, operations management, pricing coordination, or related role — experience managing small teams strongly preferred.</li> <li>Exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to draft precise, professional correspondence and present information clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.</li> <li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track team deliverables, and maintain structured workflows.</li> <li>Analytical mindset with the ability to understand and interpret pricing data at a high level, even if hands-on analysis is performed by your team.</li> <li>Experience working with large data sets or data-heavy operations is a plus; comfort reviewing reports and identifying meaningful patterns.</li> <li>Background in law, compliance, contract analysis, or technical writing is highly valued — particularly for MAP policy interpretation and argumentation.</li> <li>Familiarity with MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) policies, including how to identify competitor violations and communicate them effectively to MAP administrators.</li> <li>Ability to read policy language critically and identify permissible strategies and compliance boundaries.</li> <li>Experience with ecommerce platforms (NetSuite, Shopify, Magento, or similar) is a plus, but not required.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for reviewing and managing reports.
