Associate Financial Consultant (AFC Plan Event Team)

<div><h2>Overview</h2><p>The Associate Financial Consultant assists and answers questions through virtual interactions for all participants, new entrants, prospects, beneficiaries and their legal and financial representatives on the complete spectrum of TIAA products and services. As a part of TIAA\'s Individual Advisory Center, this job covers institutions aligned to regional structures and offers financial planning advice via phone and video chat to help clients accomplish their immediate and long-term financial goals. During your initial period of employment, you will receive training on TIAA\'s products and the role will be non-exempt – meaning you will be paid on an hourly basis and eligible for overtime pay. After the training period has concluded, the role will be exempt and you will be paid on a salaried basis at the same rate (i.e., your weekly salary will be equal to your hourly rate multiplied by 40) and you will no longer be eligible for overtime pay. All licenses must be obtained within 120 days from start date.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities and Duties</h2><ul><li>Answers participant questions on their pension plans, tax deferred annuities and other available investment options in order to help clients retain and grow assets.</li><li>Educates and facilitates new product purchases (including retail mutual funds, annuities, IRAs, 529 and 403b, bank products, life insurance and others) and provides authoritative information upon which important personal financial planning decisions are based.</li><li>Interacts with retirement plan participants to provide exceptional customer service and execute transaction and service requests.</li><li>Utilizes knowledge of tax and investment strategies to inform financial advice based on clients\' financial needs and objectives.</li><li>Communicates internally with cross-business partnerships to develop and implement TIAA products and services to support clients and company initiatives.</li><li>Develops and maintains strong relationship with Institutional Plan Sponsors.</li></ul><h2>Educational Requirements</h2><ul><li>University (Degree) Preferred</li></ul><h2>Work Experience</h2><ul><li>2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred</li></ul><h2>FINRA Registrations</h2><ul><li>SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63</li></ul><h2>Licenses and Certifications</h2><ul><li>Life and Health Insurance License (Resident State) - Multiple Issuers required within 120 Days</li></ul><h2>Physical Requirements</h2><ul><li>Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work</li></ul><h2>Career Level</h2><p>6IC</p></div> #J-18808-Ljbffr Salary: USD 36000 - 60000 per year
