ATL Director of Finance and Business Operations


Description:You will be the Finance Business Operations Director for Advanced Technology Laboratories (ATL). In this senior role the incumbent oversees Accounting, Program Finance, Pricing, and Contracts. In addition, it is responsible for guiding ATL Facilities, IT, and Security on a dotted line basis. As the finance subject matter expert, the Director participates in all Senior Leadership meetings, offering data driven insight that guides strategic decision making.

The Director is responsible for the monthly ATL financial close, performing variance analysis and preparing reports for internal management reviews as well as for Research and Technology (R&T) and Missiles & Fire Control (MFC). A core duty is the development and maintenance of ATL’s Long Range Plan, which encompasses orders, sales, EBIT, cash, capital, and overhead. The role also leads the creation and management of ATL Forward Pricing Rate proposals, coordinates internal reviews, and delivers monthly reporting of actual overhead expenditures versus plan. Supporting incurred cost submissions and audit processes, the Director ensures adherence to GAAP, SOX, and Lockheed Martin internal controls.

Leading a cross functional Business Operations organization, the Director supports program and product areas through finance, planning, contracts, and proposal support. Responsibilities include ensuring contractual compliance, managing costs, developing budgets, performing financial estimating, and providing comprehensive proposal assistance. The Director also develops business cases for new initiatives, evaluating strategic fit, financial viability, risk, and return on investment to inform go/no go decisions and secure funding.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline (MBA or advanced finance certification preferred)

15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with a strong track record in accounting, FP&A, cost estimating, and program finance

Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance

Position is on site in Cherry Hill, NJ; however, the successful candidate must be willing and able to travel periodically

Solid grasp of GAAP principles and SOX compliance

Proven ability to lead cross functional teams

Influential communicator who can partner with senior leadership, translate financial data into concise executive level insights, and drive decision making

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $180,000 - $309,120. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
