Role Overview

Epicured is seeking a Billing Specialist to support daily billing operations in a high-growth, HIPAA-compliant environment. This role will focus on invoice generation, data entry, and billing reconciliation across multiple Social Care Network (SCN) partners and Medicaid waiver programs.

You will work across internal systems and external billing portals to ensure accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and maintain clean, reliable billing data.

This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing high-volume billing workflows while collaborating cross-functionally across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage high-volume invoicing across 10+ client accounts, including Social Care Networks and commercial partners

  • Enter and maintain billing data within internal systems and external billing portals in a HIPAA-compliant environment

  • Maintain and update client and member profile data to ensure billing accuracy

  • Investigate rejected or disputed invoices, identify root causes, and resolve or escalate issues as needed

  • Support billing reporting by tracking metrics such as billable vs. unbillable invoices

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Customer Experience, IT, and Commercial teams to resolve discrepancies

  • Partner with Revenue Cycle / Finance team to support billing accuracy and reporting workflows

  • Ensure proper documentation and organization of billing activity

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of billing or invoicing experience

  • Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry and financial information handling

  • Experience working with external billing systems or portals

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and general computer systems

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and resolve issues efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, medical billing, or HIPAA-compliant environments

  • Experience working with nonprofit clients, Medicaid programs, or social care networks

  • Familiarity with claims, invoicing workflows, or revenue cycle processes

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly rate: $20.00-23.00
