Start your journey.This role is responsible for supporting a client within the meetings and events team, with the delivery of business intelligence reporting of their meetings activity. The ideal candidate must have a combination of technical skills mixed with good communication skills to work consultatively with clients. They will craft and build customized reports and dashboards that include standard processes for data visualizations while also embodying creativity and accuracy; analyze data to identify issues, trends, opportunities and work directly with clients to make recommendations to support their business needs.What You'll Do:Collaborate with account managers and clients in the design of custom Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards, metrics, reports, and implements the developmentTranslate and document business requirements into detailed technical design and programming specifications used to develop, modify and test in an ongoing production environmentConduct ad-hoc analysis and research to identify key trends and insights that drive opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and strategic decision-making that can support business decision needsEnsure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting and analysisApplies generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulationAbility to efficiently present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and internal partnersAdept at blending, normalizing, and analyzing multiple and extensive data sets to yield reportable and significant resultsStay up to date with industry trends, standard methodologies, and new technologies in data analysis and business intelligenceWhat We're Looking For:2-3 years of experience in a business intelligence or data analysis role, preferably within the travel, hospitality, or events industryBachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related disciplineMust be proficient in the English language, both written and verbalProficient working with enterprise data visualization tools (i.e., Domo, Tableau, Power BI, SAP BI, etc.) and advanced ETL or Excel skillsAccess and Excel proficiency is requiredExperience with SQL and database querying is a plusGood communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical audiencesProven attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy and qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the willingness to take initiative to contribute beyond basic responsibilitiesClient facing experience a plus with customer service approachComfortable with an environment where priorities change frequentlyThis is a remote opportunity in the US and Canada, supporting clients and collaborating with internal partners globally - due to business needs, some flexibility will be expected based on location The Company has good cause to conduct a review of criminal history for this specific position based on the job duties (see listed job duties above) and because the role will involve access to credit card data, confidential client information or data and other proprietary corporate information and trade secrets.LocationTexas, United StatesThe US national annual base salary range for this position is from $46,000 to $93,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for an annual Performance Based Incentive, which rewards participants based on company performance.
