Leidos is seeking a Business Marketing and Outreach Coordinator to support the award-winning Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program. Based in the Ameren Illinois service territory, the Business Marketing and Outreach Coordinator will work with Ameren Illinois and Leidos leadership to develop marketing and outreach strategies to increase brand awareness and participation in the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program.

The primary responsibilities of the Business Marketing and Outreach Coordinator will include coordination and implementation of outreach strategies and supportive marketing to Ameren Illinois business customers including, but not limited to: community and partner outreach activities, special events, print and digital advertising, website and social media concept creation, and supportive materials for Energy Advisor field staff.

Under the leadership of the Senior Director of Marketing and Business Marketing Manager, the Business Marketing and Outreach Coordinator will serve as one of the business-sector outreach and marketing leads in collaboration with program managers and subcontractors to reach Program goals.

Location:

This position will be a hybrid of working from home and working in our Downtown Peoria office. The position will also require 25% travel throughout the Ameren Illinois territory.

The Ameren Illinois service territory includes several large to mid-size communities such as Galesburg, Quincy, Peoria, Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Danville, Decatur, Springfield, Charleston-Mattoon, Effingham, Mt. Vernon, Marion, Carbondale, and Metro East (Belleville, O'Fallon, Granite City, Edwardsville, Alton, Collinsville).

Responsibilities:

  • The Business Marketing and Outreach Coordinator will work with Program Partners, Trade and Service Organizations, Not-for-Profits, Small Business groups, Chambers of Commerce and industry specialists throughout the Ameren Illinois Service Territory promoting the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program.
  • Developing and executing accompanying marketing materials from start to finish.
  • Attending trade shows and other outreach efforts to represent the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program and present to groups large and small about business incentives and other Program offerings.
  • Creates and oversees monthly newsletters and webinars for Business customers and Program staff.
  • Identifies effectiveness and impact of marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis and pivots accordingly.
  • Works closely with Energy Advisor to ensure all marketing collateral needs are met.
  • Establishes brand positioning, identifies target audiences and develops outreach plans to support Program goals.
  • Conduct research into new opportunities to increase customer brand awareness.
  • Communicates and stewards customer success stories to help build sustained participation.
  • Serves as a connector for communication between the Marketing and Outreach team and the Business Operations team.
  • Responsible for filling out process and outreach activity reports on a regular cadence.
Desired Education, Skills, Qualities and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, English or business.
  • 2+ years of work experience in marketing, communications, outreach, business or related field.
  • Strong organizational/project management skills; ability to multitask and manage several projects at once.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and presenting.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Energetic, can-do attitude and will to succeed.
  • Adaptability and flexibility with required changes.
  • Professional demeanor and dedication to delivering top-notch customer service.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times.
  • Background in energy efficiency preferred but not required.
Although this role will primarily support the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program, Leidos will be the employer of the person, Ameren Illinois does not take any role in selecting the person for employment, and Ameren Illinois will not have any role in managing the work performed by the person.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $41,600.00 - $75,200.00
