Before the program begins, you’ll work part-time in a non-certified role (such as dietary or housekeeping) at our facility. This provides valuable hands-on experience while earning a paycheck—then you’ll transition into the CNA class fully prepared.

Weeks 1 & 2: Monday – Thursday

Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Attendance: Mandatory — missed days result in automatic failure

Eligibility Requirements

Must be 18 years or older

Must be hired as a part-time employee at the Shenandoah Nursing and Rehab until class begins

Must have reliable transportation to Mount Carmel Senior Living Community

Part-Time Work Requirements Before Class

Kitchen/Dining Services:
Shifts available 6 AM – 8 PM , including weekends

Housekeeping/Laundry:
Shifts available 7 AM – 9:30 PM
