<p><strong>REMOTE - MUST BE IN THE PST</strong></p><p><strong>Job Title: Collections Representative</strong></p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>The Collections Representative manages a high-volume portfolio of aging accounts receivable, conducts proactive outreach to customers, and drives resolution of outstanding balances. This role focuses on investigating unpaid invoices, documenting findings in a CRM system, and collaborating with internal teams to reduce the overall AR backlog while delivering professional, customer-oriented service in a remote work environment.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Review and manage an aging accounts receivable report for an assigned portfolio of approximately $10M to identify outstanding balances and priority accounts.</li><li>Conduct outbound calls and follow-ups with customers and vendors to understand why invoices remain unpaid and to confirm payment status and expected timelines.</li><li>Collect payments directly when possible and ensure appropriate next steps for accounts that require further investigation or escalation.</li><li>Document all interactions, findings, and next actions in Salesforce or a similar CRM system to maintain accurate and up-to-date account records.</li><li>Create and manage tickets in the CRM to track issues, follow-ups, and resolutions for each outstanding invoice.</li><li>Escalate unresolved or complex items to the appropriate Project Manager across multiple U.S. locations to drive timely resolution.</li><li>Partner closely with internal teams, including project and operations stakeholders, to resolve billing discrepancies and reduce outstanding AR balances.</li><li>Perform research to identify updated or correct contact information when existing customer or vendor data is outdated or incomplete.</li><li>Support focused efforts to make a measurable reduction in the accounts receivable backlog during the contract period.</li><li>Handle a high volume of follow-ups with professionalism, maintaining a customer service–oriented approach in all communications.</li><li>Use basic Excel functions such as filtering, sorting, and tracking data to monitor account status and follow-up activities.</li><li>Work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and quality expectations.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Skills</strong></p><ul><li>At least 2 years of accounts receivable and/or collections experience.</li><li>Proven experience working with aging reports and conducting customer outreach to resolve outstanding balances.</li><li>Hands-on experience with CRM systems; Salesforce experience is preferred, though other CRM platforms are acceptable.</li><li>Demonstrated collections and customer service skills, including conducting outbound collection calls.</li><li>Strong investigative and problem-solving abilities to identify root causes of non-payment and appropriate resolution paths.</li><li>Ability to manage and execute high-volume follow-ups with professionalism and persistence.</li><li>Basic Excel skills, including filtering, sorting, and tracking data for reporting and follow-up purposes.</li><li>Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively and independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.</li><li>Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and internal teams.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience documenting account activity and creating tickets in CRM systems to track issues and resolutions.</li><li>Background in data entry related to accounts receivable or collections processes.</li><li>Customer service–oriented mindset, with the ability to balance firm collection efforts and positive customer relationships.</li><li>Comfort working with multiple internal stakeholders across different locations to resolve billing and payment issues.</li><li>Strong organizational skills to prioritize accounts and follow-ups within a large AR portfolio.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><p>This is a fully remote position that requires reliable internet connectivity and a suitable home office setup for making outbound calls and working within CRM and Excel systems. The role operates in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of follow-ups and interactions. You will primarily use digital tools such as Salesforce or a similar CRM and Microsoft Excel to manage your portfolio and document activities.
