Consumer Insights Lead (100% Remote)

Our Customer is seeking a Consumer Insights Lead on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is 100% remote. You will primarily focus on our Events and Partnerships business, leading research that will help measure and evaluate the success of various partnerships and initiatives, identify & define market and audience opportunities, and generate and refine potential ideas.

This candidate will be tasked with designing and guiding research, shaping actionable insights, and communicating these insights in clear and engaging ways in order to inform business decisions for stakeholders across the organization. This position will report to a Senior Consumer Insights Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Lead measurement of global events and partnerships by developing and maintaining measurement frameworks and tracking performance over time
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research projects using methods such as focus groups, surveys, ethnographies, and immersive techniques
  • Identify and implement innovative research approaches, including AI-driven methodologies
  • Manage a mix of in-house and vendor-led research while ensuring quality and rigor
  • Analyze and synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights
  • Present insights through compelling reports and presentations to stakeholders
  • Leverage market, competitor, and product data to inform strategic decision-making
  • Translate complex data into meaningful business implications and recommendations
  • Partner with cross-functional research and business teams to drive alignment and collaboration
  • Support continuous improvement of research practices and frameworks
Skills And Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in research, marketing, social sciences, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in consumer insights or market research
  • Strong expertise in measurement frameworks and longitudinal tracking methodologies
  • Experience designing and executing both qualitative and quantitative research
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics and emerging research tools, including AI methods
  • Ability to manage global research programs and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex datasets
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a strategic perspective
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Experience working on both client-side and vendor-side research environments
