Contract Account Manager - Contract Packaging

Description The Contract Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within the contract packaging department and NOBL’s Ready-To-Drink canned product line. This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with contract (co-packing) clients, understanding their unique needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs.

The Contract Account

Manager will work closely with the Contract Packaging team and the Management team to achieve sales targets, ensure customer satisfaction, repeat orders, and generate high-margin contract packaging opportunities.

Compensation:

Base: $65,000 + Monthly Commission

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve contract & branded sales targets.
  • Focus on creating a customer base that is diverse and resilient to market changes (IE a mixture of emerging brands, established brands, and private label)
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the contract sector.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and competitors.
  • Attend trade shows and other industry-specific events to generate leads
  • Maintain relationships with formulators and other vendors that provide leads
  1. Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with NOBL’s buyers and contract clients.
  • Understand the business needs of our contract customers and provide customized solutions.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to review service delivery and satisfaction.
  • Expectation set with customers throughout the onboarding and customer management process
  • Collect information for client responses from various departments and draft / review / solicit feedback on sensitive correspondence.
  • Work to resolve issues directly with clients, as required, related to product quality, scheduling, and other customer service issues.
  1. Proposal and Contract Management:
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to close sales.
  • Ensure all sales documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Work to secure long-term packaging clients and lock in contracted volume to ensure a healthy packaging pipeline.
  • Work to continuously improve margin opportunities while balancing the volume needed to keep the daily canning schedule full.
  1. Collaboration and Teamwork:
  • Collaborate with the Contract Account Team to ensure timely communication, estimates, contracts, and scheduling updates.
  • Collaborate with the Contract Logistics Manager and Contract Operations Manager to ensure production runs are planned appropriately, and expectations are appropriately set and maintained.
  • Come prepared to the internal schedule meetings with the Contract Packaging department to provide updates about the sales pipeline and upcoming opportunities.
  • Work with the Packaging Operations Manager to continuously monitor and fill NOBL’s packaging capacity, especially as throughput increases and capabilities are added.
  • Work with the Finance team to ensure deposits are paid ahead of scheduled run dates, and all receivables are collected on time.
  1. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Monitor sales performance against targets and prepare sales reports as required.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Report on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in consultative sales, preferably in the CPG sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing client accounts.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in beverage and contract sales preferred.
