Together, we'll shape the future of life sciences. </p> <p><strong>THE CONTRACT MEDICAL WRITER-PUBLICATIONS ROLE </strong></p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Medical Writer to contract to Sorcero on a defined deliverable basis for our SciComms Suite. The ideal candidate will have publication medical writing experience for pharmaceutical clients working on clinical trial publications of a variety of types. Their role is to review and develop AI draft manuscripts to the level desired by Sorcero and contribute to Sorcero validation work for increasing the speed of evidence to clinical practice.</p> <p>This role is remote and on an as-needed basis as determined by Sorcero project volume and the ideal candidate must be available to provide same day deliverables. </p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES </strong><strong><br></strong></p> <ul> <li>Review, annotate, and amend early- to late-stage publication manuscript drafts to tight deadlines and to the highest standard</li> <li>Work on rapid turnaround deliverables following guidance set by Sci Comms Solutions Lead and Product Manager</li> <li>Liaise with Authors to take manuscripts to submission </li> <li>Work to strict confidentiality and data privacy parameters at all times</li> <li>Give feedback on the quality of drafts as required</li> <li>Act as independent reviewer for quality studies</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Focused experience in medical writing for publication in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry</li> <li>Strong understanding of clinical research, biostatistics, and medical terminology</li> <li>In-depth familiarity with GPP, ICMJE, CONSORT, and other industry standard guidelines</li> <li>Comprehensive understanding of manuscript process from draft to publication</li> <li>Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or related field preferred</li> <li>Minimum of 3 years experience as a medical writer</li> <li>Must be able to provide a writing sample demonstrating related experience writing for publications within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry</li> <li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills </li> <li>Proven track record of successful cross-functional collaboration </li> <li>Project delivery track record and strong organizational skills</li> <li>Must be based within the US</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS </strong></p> <ul> <li>In-depth knowledge of publication standards and requirements</li> <li>Clinical trial statistical understanding</li> <li>Oncology experience</li> <li>HEOR publication experience</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>COMPENSATION </strong></p> <p>Sorcero is a remote and globally distributed team.  The hourly rate will be determined based on experience and location.
