Role Summary


The Corporate Communications Manager for the Americas will drive strategic communications across the Americas, with primary focus on the U.S., and key Latin American markets including Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Paraguay, and Chile (TBC). This role enhances Amadeus’ reputation by developing integrated communication programs, managing media relations, supporting business units with market specific insights. The position partners closely with the global CMC team, specialized third parties for local and global PR execution, alongside Amadeus regional stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a seasoned communicator who excels at storytelling, media outreach, and building strong relationships across diverse markets.


The Americas Corporate Communications team amplifies and protects Amadeus’ brand and reputation across all audiences by generating regionally relevant content and storytelling and adding regional context and insights. The Corporate Communications Manager supports this mission by driving communications strategies for North America and major Latin American markets, ensuring Amadeus communicates with one voice across the region in alignment with company objectives and regional needs.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications

  • Contribute/lead the development and execution of communications plans promoting Amadeus’ strategy, brand and corporate reputation across the Americas, with focus on priority markets including the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and more.

  • Partner with relevant PR firms for local/regional/global execution of communications and campaigns. Serve as day-to-day liaison with local PR partner(s).

  • Serve as a liaison to business counterparts operating in the Americas to identify news opportunities, strategic narratives, and timely announcements that support company goals.

  • Lead development, oversee writing, review, production and approval of regional and regionally led global messages, press releases, blogs, bylined articles, speaker opportunities, videos, corporate statements, interviews, testimonials, media briefing materials.

  • Develop integrated communications, leveraging owned platforms in addition to earned media.

  • Support social media activities in the region, ensuring content for social media is planned and developed in line with business and communications goals as appropriate.

  • Collaborate on regional and global thought leadership programs and contribute ideas to promoting Americas in global-led initiatives as well as driving regional thought leadership.

  • Maintain alignment with global Corporate Communications for reviews and approvals and ensure consistency of message and tone.

Public Relations, news generation and media outreach

  • Build and nurture relationships with journalists, analysts, and influencers across the region.

  • Monitor key news topics and trends of relevance to the business

  • Drive both proactive and reactive outreach and media relations to share news, protect Amadeus’ reputation, build the brand and amplify Amadeus perspectives on industry trends.

  • Maintain and grow the master media lists for North America and Latin America.

  • Support communication and media engagement at key industry events across the region and beyond as needed. - Represent Amadeus during media interactions and prepare spokespeople for interviews.

  • Support crisis communications and issues management efforts across the region as needed.

  • Monitor, track and report results, develop and share presentations and tracking reports for review within the organization.

Spokesperson Engagement and Visibility

  • Identify and support spokespeople across the Americas region and manage roster.

  • Drive Executive Visibility Program in the Americas with key spokespeople.

  • Coordinate regional media training, feedback, and ongoing performance improvement.

  • Provide content for employee advocacy tools and platforms to foster amplification of content and earned media.

Key Stakeholders
Internal: Corporate Marketing Communications Team, Regional Business Unit Leaders and Commercial teams, Executive Management, Regional Marketing, People & Culture, Corporate & Legal Affairs..
External: Media Relations/PR agencies, Industry associations, Key influencers/analysts.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; communications-related field preferred and/or equivalent work experience

  • 7+ years in corporate communications, media relations, or public relations or related area.

  • Relevant experience in and knowledge of Americas region.

  • Knowledge of Amadeus business, travel industry, global distribution systems (GDSs) and travel technology landscape preferred.

  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (oral and written) required, Portuguese a plus. Strong writing, storytelling, and communication skills.

  • Expertise with Office 365, digital platforms, and social media. Ideally experience with CMS tools, social scheduling, listening and advocacy tools and media monitoring tools (i.e. Meltwater).

  • Highly organized, polished, adaptable and creative, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and relationships at all levels of the organization and with journalists including trades to mainstream media. Existing relationships a plus.

  • Travel Requirements:

  • Approximately 15-25% across the U.S., Latam, and occasionally Europe for events/trade shows and meetings.

  • Miami (also open to Orlando, or other East Coast U.S. office)
