And we encourage applicants to embrace new challenges, as the right fit at Murj is often more about the person and the challenges they seek, not just what they have accomplished in the past.</p></div><p><strong>About The Role.</strong></p> <p>As a data analyst, you will leverage SQL and business intelligence (Tableau) tools to run ad hoc queries, answer questions, and build new reporting to several internal and customer stakeholders.</p> <p>You should be comfortable working with SQL (and/or Python), and have experience transforming data into insights through effective storytelling and visualization.</p> <p>This role offers an opportunity to make a large impact on a small analytics team. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, and taking the initiative to identify and address work needed but not necessarily assigned. Strong communication and organizational skills will be as critical as technical skills to excel.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do.</strong></p> <ul> <li>Run ad hoc queries and answer questions submitted by customers and internal stakeholders.</li> <li>Lead projects to produce new reports:</li> <ul> <li>Coordinate with stakeholders to define the need.</li> <li>Iterate on the design.</li> <li>Work with technical team to create underlying data pipelines.</li> </ul> <li>Lead select analytics projects depending on team need – projects may include product analytics (how frequently are users interacting with a new software feature?), clinical analytics (what is the most common diagnostic finding in patients implanted with a monitor for suspected atrial fibrillation?) or business analytics (what are the companies fastest growing revenue drivers in terms of new products, features, and services?)</li> <li>Troubleshoot issues with automated reports.</li> <li>Contribute to team documentation.</li> <li>React to stakeholders needs in a timely manner (typically within a day or sooner).</li> <li>Recognize and troubleshoot reporting issues with urgency (also within a day).</li> <li>Manage at least 1-2 longer term projects in addition to the daily stakeholder management and troubleshooting.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What Makes You a Great Fit.</strong></p> <ul> <li>Motivated; You find what Murj does in the cardiac device space interesting and exciting. Should be able to speak to academic or professional experiences leveraging these skills.</li> <li>Proficiency in SQL (would consider candidates with experience with other programming languages, if they have at least intermediate proficiency).</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. analytics, statistics, computer science, data science), or equivalent practical experience.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice To Haves.</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in design, especially as it pertains to data visualization.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days).</strong></p> <ul> <li>You are able to independently address at least half of incoming questions and requests from customers or internal stakeholders asking for ad hoc data pulls. </li> <li>You have become familiar with a stakeholder group at Murj and worked with them to build out a new report that informs and/or streamlines one of their processes.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Travel expectations: </strong>0%: No travel required.</p>
