Our overall success is measured by how well we deliver these results.</p><p></p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Write, review, edit, and commission practice notes, precedents, checklists, flowcharts, and other practical legal resources.</li><li>Ensure all digital legal content meets LexisNexis quality standards and remains current, accurate, and relevant.</li><li>Monitor legal developments, market trends, and emerging issues in Corporate, Commercial, and M&A law.</li><li>Interpret complex legal and business issues and recommend best practices for content development.</li><li>Contribute subject-matter expertise and insights to overall content strategy, product direction, and innovation initiatives.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including product, technology, and editorial teams) to deliver content within defined timelines.</li><li>Utilize AI-enabled tools and large language models (LLMs) as part of the daily workflow, applying editorial judgment to validate and enhance outputs.</li><li>Train, mentor, and provide guidance to junior team members, serving as a recognized expert within the function.</li></ul><p></p><h2><b>Requirements</b></h2><ul><li>Law degree (LLB or equivalent).</li><li>4–6 years of practice experience in Corporate, Commercial, and/or M&A law within a leading South African law firm or in-house legal department.</li><li>Deep practical knowledge of South African <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">Corporate/Commercial/M&A</span> law and legal workflows, used as a foundation for Canadian legal content development.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to solve complex legal or content-related problems independently, with sound judgment and a broad perspective.</li><li>Superior legal writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and practical content under prescribed timelines.</li><li>Experience drafting or editing client-facing materials, legal publications, law journals, or CLE content.</li><li>Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently in a remote or hybrid environment.</li><li>Experience using AI and digital tools in legal or editorial workflows; knowledge of Canadian, global legal principles, Capital Markets, Securities law, or French language is considered an asset.</li></ul></div><p></p><ul></ul><p><i>Working Hours:</i></p><p>Fostering real-time collaboration with colleagues and external authors in Canada, this position will work a shift of 11AM – 7PM Central African Time, Monday – Friday, with occasional meetings outside of these hours</p> <p><b><span style="font-size:14px">We know your well-being and happiness are key to a long and successful career.
