The role is to be a leader in our Artificial Intelligence team, tackling challenges such as integrating Angi’s search with LLM Providers like OpenAI GPT and Google Gemini. This is a leadership role, leading a team of dedicated machine learning engineers to both develop ML prototypes and then take them to production. In addition to being a leader, we’re also looking for someone who can dive into tech and get their hands dirty to solve some of Angi’s biggest technical challenges.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Leadership: Lead and grow a team of talented machine learning engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth. For our most complex challenges, you will dive into the tech to work through solutioning alongside your team.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">LLM Deployment and Optimization: Oversee the fine-tuning and deployment of LLMs, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in an agentic framework, with a focus on optimizing model performance and scalability to enhance user experience and drive business results.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Integration with 3rd Party AI APIs: Oversee the integration and management of AI tools and third-party solutions, including OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, Meta AI, and Salesforce AI, to enhance user experience and business performance.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Engineering & Product Collaboration:  Partner with engineering, product, and design teams to build robust, scalable real-time APIs, and work on the entire development process to seamlessly integrate AI solutions into our products.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Innovation: Foster  innovation within the team, exploring new approaches and techniques to solve complex business problems.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Who you are</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You have a Master’s or Ph.D. in a computer science or quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You have 10+ years of experience in machine learning & engineering, with a focus on large-scale distributed application architecture for deploying ML models to production.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You are an expert in machine learning deployment, API development, and real-time ML workloads.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You are proficient in Python and comfortable diving deep into technical challenges alongside your team.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You have excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>We value diversity</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We know that the best ideas come from teams where diverse points of view uncover new solutions to hard problems.
