This leader partners with Product, R&D, and Go-To-Market teams. You will drive product enablement and monitor core business metrics. The role optimizes infrastructure and AI spend across the organization</p><p>As a Director Strategy & Operations, you will be responsible for:</p><ul><li class="lst">Partnering with Product and R&D leaders to build enablement plans, content, and frameworks for go-to-market teams.</li><li class="lst">Establishing and tracking key execution metrics that reveal operational health and strategic progress across the business.</li><li class="lst">Driving cost-reduction frameworks across cloud compute infrastructure while aligning resource allocation with corporate budget limits.</li><li class="lst">Monitoring organizational AI usage, tracking consumption models, and implementing efficiency initiatives that optimize spend and ROI.</li><li class="lst">Operating the planning rhythm across quarterly objectives, executive reviews, and cross-functional initiative tracking.</li><li class="lst">Translating high-level strategy into concrete, measurable deliverables owned by accountable cross-functional teams.</li></ul><p><b>Do what you love</b></p><p>To be successful in this role you will:</p><ul><li class="lst">Have 7+ years of progressive experience in Strategy & Operations, Business Operations, FinOps, or related leadership roles.</li><li class="lst">Have a proven track record of building alignment across deeply technical teams and commercial business units.</li><li class="lst">Have practical experience overseeing technical infrastructure budgets, including cloud compute across AWS, Azure, or GCP.</li><li class="lst">Have hands-on familiarity with modern AI and LLM consumption costs and associated efficiency frameworks.</li><li class="lst">Be skilled in operational planning and project management, translating strategy into concrete and measurable deliverables.</li><li class="lst">Have a collaborative leadership style and the ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.</li></ul><p><b>About us</b></p><p>At Akamai, we're curious, innovative, collaborative and tenacious.
