Driver Recruiter

<p><b>Job Description Summary:</b></p><p>The purpose of the Recruiter is the recruitment of Independent Contractors and company drivers.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><b>Own the Recruitment Process </b><ul><li>Manage drivers through the full hiring lifecycle from lead to orientation</li><li>Follow established recruiting workflows and standards without deviation</li><li>Ensure all steps in the hiring process are completed in a timely and accurate manner</li></ul></li><li><b>Primary Point of Contact </b><ul><li>Serve as the main contact for all assigned applicants</li><li>Build and maintain professional relationships with drivers throughout the hiring process</li><li>Provide clear, consistent communication regarding status, expectations, and next steps</li></ul></li><li><b>Inbound & Outbound Communication </b><ul><li>Manage high volumes of inbound calls and leads</li><li>Conduct proactive outbound calling to engage new leads and re-engage inactive applicants</li><li>Maintain consistent follow-up cadence to keep applicants moving forward</li></ul></li><li><b>Application Management </b><ul><li>Accurately update and maintain applicant information in the ATS/CRM system</li><li>Ensure all notes, statuses, and activities are documented in real time</li><li>Monitor pipeline and prioritize applicants based on hiring needs</li></ul></li><li><b>Onboarding Coordination </b><ul><li>Identify and communicate all required onboarding documents to applicants</li><li>Follow up persistently to ensure all documents are submitted completely and on time</li><li>Work closely with safety, background, and orientation teams to ensure a smooth handoff</li></ul></li><li><b>Driver Retention Mindset </b><ul><li>Set proper expectations with drivers before hire to improve retention</li><li>Maintain contact with drivers through onboarding and early tenure</li><li>Address concerns early and escalate issues when necessary to prevent early turnover</li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Job Requirements</b></p><ul><li>1-2 years’ experience in recruiting, sales, or high-volume customer service, preferred</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone</li><li>Ability to manage a high volume of calls, texts, and applicants daily</li><li>Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through</li><li>Ability to work within defined processes and maintain accurate, real-time updates in systems</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple priorities at once</li><li>Proficient with basic computer systems (ATS/CRM, email, data entry)</li><li>Transportation or driver recruiting experience preferred but not required</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Physical Demands and Work Environment:  </b>The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><p></p><ul><li><b>Physical Demands:</b></li></ul><ul><li>Moderate physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature.</li></ul><ul><li>While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, reach/handle items, work with the fingers, and talk and hear others in conversations via the phone or in person. </li><li>The employee is occasionally required to walk and stand for long periods of time.</li></ul><ul><li><b>Work Environment:</b></li></ul><ul><li>The noise level is moderate based on general conversation tones, ringing phones and laser printer operation.</li></ul><ul><li>Work in well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation, occasional outside events in non environmentally controlled conditions.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Compensation:</b></p><ul><li>The compensation for this role is $40,000 to $45,000 per year.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Location:</b></p><ul><li>Remote</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Benefits:</b></p><ul><li>PTO</li><li>Paid Holidays</li><li>Medical Insurance</li><li>Dental Insurance</li><li>Vision Insurance</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>401k</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Roadrunner Freight is building something special with great people, a winning culture and a differentiated service offering in the marketplace.  Join us today to grow your career!</b></p><p></p><p>We will not accept unsolicited candidates from external recruiters or recruiting agencies.
