<h2>Job Description</h2><div><div><b>Enterprise Architect Manager - Defence & National Security </b><br /><b>£Up To £82,000 GBP</b><br /><b>Performance Bonus </b><br /><b>Onsite WORKING</b><br /><b>Location:</b> UK Wide , Central London, Greater London - United Kingdom<b> Type:</b> Permanent<br /><b>Enterprise Architect Manager - Defence & National Security </b><br /><b>Location:</b> London, Bristol, Cheltenham, Manchester<br /><b>Role Level:</b> Manager<br /><b>Practice Area:</b> Technology Strategy & Advisory<br /><b>Industry:</b> Defence, Public Safety & National Security<br /><b>Salary:</b> Up To £82,000<br /><b>About the Role</b><br />We are expanding our Enterprise Architecture capability within our Technology Strategy & Advisory practice and are seeking experienced <b>Enterprise Architect Managers</b> to support some of the UK Government's most complex, high-impact transformation programmes.<br />You will work at the intersection of <b>business strategy, technology, and data</b>, shaping architecture vision, operating models and roadmaps that enable meaningful, enterprise-wide change.<br />This is a client-facing position within secure environments, ideal for those who enjoy combining strategic thinking with practical delivery to influence high-stakes outcomes in defence and national security.<br /><b>What You'll Do</b><ul><li>Translate business strategies into enterprise architecture vision, target states and transformation roadmaps</li><li>Assess the impact of strategic change across business, data, application, technology, and infrastructure layers</li><li>Lead the creation of enterprise architecture blueprints and end-to-end technology landscapes</li><li>Provide architectural leadership across major digital transformation and reinvention programmes</li><li>Develop value cases and investment justifications for executive decision-making</li><li>Apply Lean and Agile architecture principles to complex enterprise environments</li><li>Conduct platform and vendor assessments across technology, integration and data layers</li><li>Act as a trusted advisor between business, technology, and third-party suppliers</li><li>Establish and enforce enterprise architecture governance and standards</li><li>Lead design and governance of enterprise data platform capabilities</li><li>Assess enterprise architecture maturity and define improvement roadmaps</li><li>Stay informed on emerging technology trends and identify opportunities for innovation</li></ul><b>What We're Looking For</b><br />You bring strong Enterprise Architecture experience and the ability to operate confidently in secure, complex client environments.<br /><b>You will have:</b><ul><li>Experience working within secure UK Government environments (Defence, Public Safety, National Security)</li><li>Experience across one or more architecture domains (Business, Application, Data, Technology)</li><li>Background in large-scale or highly sensitive digital transformation programmes</li><li>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills</li><li>Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams</li><li>Ability to work across multiple levels of architectural abstraction</li><li>Familiarity with enterprise platforms (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, public cloud providers)</li><li>Curiosity about emerging technologies such as AI, automation, cloud, data platforms</li><li>Experience contributing to or designing AI-enabled solutions</li><li>Full professional proficiency in English</li></ul><b>Preferred Experience</b><ul><li>Deep knowledge of secure UK Government technology landscapes</li><li>Consulting background</li><li>Understanding of the Government Service Manual, Technology Code of Practice, and UK digital/data strategies</li><li>Experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, or Technology Strategist</li><li>Experience in initiatives such as application rationalisation, re-platforming, and data architecture transformation</li><li>Knowledge of business capability modelling and process taxonomies</li><li>Experience designing or governing enterprise data platforms</li><li>Knowledge of public/private cloud architectures</li><li>Experience using EA tools (LeanIX, Avolution, Bizzdesign, Orbus, etc.)</li><li>Relevant certifications (TOGAF, COBIT, cloud architecture, DCAM, DAMA-DMBOK)</li></ul><b>Security Requirements (Mandatory)</b><br />To be considered, you must:<ul><li>Hold valid <b>Developed Vetting (DV)</b> clearance</li><li>Successfully pass <b>BPSS</b> checks</li><li>Be a <b>British passport holder</b> with <b>no dual nationality</b></li></ul>These requirements are mandated by our clients and align with UK Government security policy.<br /><b>Reference:</b> AMC/JWA/EAMDNS<br />#jawa<br /><p>JBRP1_UKTJ</p></div></div> Salary: GBP 82000 - 82000 per year
