The position is also responsible for supporting Sanitation program implementation and driving sanitation continuous improvement, training, vendor performance, operational savings, and uniformity of practice across business units.  This includes managing the Corporate Sanitation team and their priorities and guiding Plant Sanitarians to drive effectiveness and efficiency. This role requires master level subject matter expertise in product safety, hygienic design, sanitation and pest management in addition to external linkages through professional associations and network. The Sanitation Director engages other functional groups such as Operations, Quality, Food Safety - Microbiology, and Engineering to drive sanitation strategic objectives. The role is critical in leading crisis management as it relates to the Sanitation program, hygienic design and pest management through the manufacturing workstreams. The Sanitation Director will have direct interaction with senior level Vice Presidents and Directors across the Enterprise including Global Engineering, Corporate Procurement, Supply Chain and Quality leaders, requiring extraordinary communication and influencing skills. The Sanitation Director will interface with appropriate external associations and regulatory agencies including FDA, USDA, OSHA, CDC and EPA, to influence legislation, build networks, create benchmarking opportunities, and align our Company with the best in class in Food Safety and Sanitation. </p><p></p><p><b>What you will do… </b></p><p><b>Primary <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">Responsibilities: </span></b><br>•    Develop and execute the Global Sanitation strategy including all programs/policies across Campbell's manufacturing locations that provide reliable and effective sanitation and pest elimination behavior-based solutions to achieve best in class results<br>•    Influence senior VP and Director level leaders in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering and Quality with regards to <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">opportunities/advances</span> in sanitation and pest management  <br>•    As the SME, lead the interface between Regulatory and industry to influence legislation, provide guidance involving sanitation objectives and ensure compliance with those requirements network wide<br>•    Enable innovation and increase operational efficiencies through spearheading implementation of advanced chemistry and new technologies in sanitation<br>•    Lead/manage the internal and external facility sanitation audit program and develop auditing strategies to enhance the Enterprise Sanitation program effectiveness and regulatory compliance<br>•   <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;"> Develop/communicate</span> Sanitation metrics/KPIs to senior leadership and drive <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">improvements/accountability</span> for success with these measures across the network<br>•    Provide coaching and training/development for team members to build internal capabilities and bench strength to ensure Sanitation program compliance <br>•    Implement best-in-class Sanitation program by leveraging continuous learning, staying abreast of relevant technologies and regulations, and identifying industry best practices through industry associations, vendor contacts, formal seminars, workshops, and peer group companies <br>•    Identify and manage resources to deliver improved operational efficiencies and sustainability goals of the Company<br>•    Provide direction regarding sanitation resources and programs with any acquisitions and divestitures of properties and businesses</p><p></p><p><b>Job Complexities:  </b><br>•    24-hour accountability for the Enterprise Sanitation function; must be available round-the-clock to provide expert guidance and direction addressing high risk issues that impact the company<br>•    Evaluate current sanitation and pest control programs and procedures, verifying both accuracy and efficacy of the programs and procedures while recommending improvements or corrections for optimum sanitation and pest control for all plants in the Campbell's network.<br>•    Assess current Sanitation organizational structure across the network and design optimal organizational design to deliver effectiveness and efficiency of Sanitation execution.<br>•    Proactive risk management and leadership in Sanitation, environmental monitoring or pest control issue resolution by coordinating the efforts of all responsible internal and external parties for the timely resolution of the problem<br>•    Keep abreast of new technologies and practices in sanitation and pest control by maintaining close relationships with outside vendors, regulatory contacts and technical publications and reports.
