This is a remote role and requires up to 25% travel, as needed.</p> <div style="font-style:normal; font-weight:400"> <p>An active EpicCare Ambulatory certification is required. It is highly desirable for candidates to also hold certification in Bones or Wisdom.</p> </div> <p>Performs various duties relating to information systems applications including the design, build, implementation, support, and testing of computer software and related processes. Works with project and support teams to ensure appropriate development, training, support, and evaluation of major computer applications.</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <div> <p>Education and Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required</li> <li>Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred</li> <li>Two to Four years’ HealthCare IT application/technical experience: Required</li> <li>Two to Four years’ applicable Epic application experience: Preferred</li> <li>An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed, may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.: Preferred</li> </ul> </div> <div> <p>Licenses/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Epic Certification/Accreditation in area of responsibility: Required</li> </ul> </div> <div> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains moderately complex system software utilizing established standards and departmental protocols, to meet user requests/specifications. Evaluates user requests for special enhancements to system software. Works with customers to gather specifications for the purchase, development, and installation of system software. Maintains service level agreements with various end-user departments and enterprise business units.</li> <li>Coordinates analysis of documentation and workflows in departments, and designs/redesigns system components to support appropriate workflows. Assists in analyzing existing methods and developing alternatives to increase operations and production efficiency. Performs a needs assessment for complex workflows, customers, and/or clinical/revenue areas. Analyzes and documents reporting needs of end users. Identifies potential process and/or department-specific risks and assists in strategies to mitigate or resolve them.</li> <li>Develops and follows project work plans. Leads project meetings and works cooperatively with team members to coordinate assigned duties with the overall program and related projects. Researches, documents, and facilitates resolution to issues reported by end-users. Tests system software per checklist guidelines and participates in the development of test scenarios. Collaborates with technical teams to define hardware/network requirements and to research and problem-solve technical issues.</li> <li>Presents training to a variety of audiences. Ensures that system documentation is current and available to the customer and that customers are educated as to where to find it. Periodically assesses how users are progressing with their use of system applications and assists with optimization training to further develop user proficiency, efficiency, and satisfaction. Leads optimization activities to ensure staff effectively use the systems.</li> <li>Responsible for ongoing on call duties for one or more applications which generate Incidents outside of business hours. Often this role is on call for the most critical applications. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues escalated by the Help Desk.
