About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, patient, team player and client-focused Estate Planning Paralegal to join our busy and established law firm in Dallas, Texas. Our practice manages a high volume caseload with a focus on estate planning, probate, and Medicaid offering a stable and fast-paced environment for an experienced legal professional.

The ideal candidate will have experience in estate planning and probate matters, strong drafting skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, deeds, and related documents for attorney review
  • Assist with probate and estate administration matters from intake through closing
  • Prepare and file probate pleadings and supporting court documents
  • Communicate with clients regarding case status, scheduling, and document collection
  • Maintain case files, calendars, deadlines, and internal tracking systems
  • Conduct legal and factual research as needed
  • Prepare correspondence and general legal documents
  • Support attorneys with administrative and legal secretary duties as needed
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions

Qualifications

  • Prior experience of at least 5 years as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in estate planning and/or probate
  • Strong knowledge of wills, trusts, probate procedures, and related legal documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively in a high-volume practice
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
  • Texas probate e-filing experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting salary: $85,000, based on experience and qualifications
