Position Title: Facilities Manager – 12 Month Position

Responsible To: Executive Director

Primary Responsibility: Responsible for overseeing building, equipment and grounds operations and services to ensure appropriate and safe physical space and resources, promoting a safe learning environment for both students and staff.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the transportation coordinator (part-time) and other staff involved in transportation to ensure safe daily operations, clear communications and adherence to safety standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee routine maintenance, needed repairs/replacement of cosmetic, structural, mechanical systems, and renovations as necessary including identifying scope of work, and securing competitive bids and overseeing related projects.
  • Point of contact with external vendors and contractors for any facility related services, ensuring timely completion of projects within budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain Certificates of Insurance for all vendors.
  • Maintain records of maintenance and repair visits.
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures that affect the use of the facility.
  • Ensure completion of internal safety and security checks (fire extinguishers, exit lights, alarms, etc.)
  • Secure appropriate inspections (fire alarm, fire suppression, elevator, roof, radon, etc.) and maintain current certificates of inspection.
  • Oversee the efficient use of classroom and office spaces, coordinating with administration for any rearrangements or special set-ups as required.
  • Maintain an inventory of all furniture, equipment, and fixtures within the school campus.
  • Implement and maintain emergency response plans, coordinate drills, and ensure the availability of necessary resources for crisis situations.
  • Collaborate with administration in the development and management of the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions while meeting operational needs.
  • Adheres to all school policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of new programs and services.
  • Invests in professional growth by attending meetings, conferences and continuing education programs.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
  • Familiarity with budget management
  • Physical ability to lift 40 lbs.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
