Farm Equipment Operator - Farmhand

Ebert Farms is hiring a Farm Equipment Operator – Farmhand to join our team in Kinsley, KS (about 35 miles northeast of Dodge City). In this role, you will operate and maintain farm machinery and agriculture equipment including tractors, planters, and sprayers.

We are a private-owned agriculture operation based in Southern Kansas, managing 3000 acres of irrigated farmland and 3000 acres of dryland farm ground. Our agriculture business produces corn, soybeans, and wheat, and includes a cattle operation of 250 head. In this role you will:

  • Operate farm machinery and agriculture equipment for planting, strip till, drilling, and harvesting crops
  • Perform seasonal farm tasks such as irrigation, spraying, and assisting with cattle operations including calving
  • Support daily farm operations across all aspects of the operation throughout the year (duties changing as needed across each season)
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and complete routine repairs on farm machinery and agriculture equipment
  • Assist with all phases of crop production and overall farm management

This job is for you if you have:

  • Previous experience operating farm machinery or agriculture equipment is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
  • Familiarity with GPS and auto steer agriculture equipment is a plus
  • Strong interest in agriculture, farming, and farm operations
  • Solid work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
