The ideal candidate will be responsible for owning the entire marketing function, from strategy to execution, and will be expected to manage and critically evaluate existing agency contractors. This role is not about fixing what is broken but rather about optimizing and taking the brand to the next level. The CMO will be tasked with identifying missed opportunities, aligning marketing with inventory constraints, and driving retention and lifecycle strategy to improve customer lifetime value. They must have a deep understanding of DTC marketing, particularly in the areas of email, SMS, and paid ads, and be comfortable managing a significant monthly ad budget. Applicants for the CMO position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' experience in DTC marketing leadership, with a proven track record of working with founders during high-growth periods. The role requires a candidate with strong brand instincts, a disciplined approach, and the ability to make confident, data-backed decisions. Experience in similar verticals, such as accessories, fashion, or premium handmade products, is essential.
