Group Supply Chain Assurance Auditor

We are seeking an experienced Group Supply Chain Assurance Auditor to support and strengthen food safety, quality, and compliance standards across our global supply base. This role plays a critical part in ensuring suppliers consistently meet customer, regulatory, and legislative requirements, while also driving continuous improvement and best practice. You will work closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and customers, conducting audits, supporting corrective actions, and providing expert guidance across a diverse and complex supply chain. At Cranswick, we value expertise, accountability, and collaboration, providing a professional environment where technical specialists can make a real impact.<br>Key responsibilities include:<br>Conduct on‑site supplier audits across the UK and internationally to assess compliance with food safety, quality, legislative, customer, and animal welfare standards.<br>Evaluate supplier compliance against food safety standards, relevant legislation, customer codes of practice, and certification requirements.<br>Produce clear, detailed audit reports and manage corrective actions to agreed timescales.<br>Review non‑conformances and drive effective improvement plans across the supply base.<br>Maintain accurate audit schedules, records, and assurance systems.<br>Support and develop suppliers in preparation for customer, regulatory, and certification audits.<br>Conduct pre‑assessment, gap analysis, and mock audits against legislation, customer standards, and best practice.<br>Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement across the supply chain.<br>Regularly review, update, and improve audit templates, checklists, and protocols to reflect legislative changes, company procedures, customer requirements, and industry standards.<br>Provide technical guidance and assurance expertise to support business and customer requirements.<br>Candidate requirements<br>A degree in Food Science or a related scientific discipline (essential).<br>Ideally a minimum of 10 years’ experience within the food industry.<br>Food Safety Level 4 and HACCP Level 4 qualifications.<br>Strong knowledge of food legislation, retailer standards, and animal welfare requirements.<br>Experience working with UK retailers and out‑of‑home customers.<br>Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.<br>A full, current UK driving licence.<br>Willingness to travel extensively within the UK and internationally, including overnight stays, sometimes at short notice.<br>We can offer;<br>Competitive Salary & Car Allowance<br>into our company pension scheme with enhanced contribution options.<br>Access to opt into our company Share Save scheme, with the ability to purchase company shares at a discounted rate.<br>Discount membership at major high street stores and supermarkets via our company discount portal.<br>Cycle to work scheme.<br>Apply Today<br>To apply, please submit a CV and Cover Letter to <br>Closing Date: 14th May 2026<br>A full job description is available upon request.
