Incorporating Chamberlain Care philosophy to educate and embolden diverse nursing professionals in a culture where students and colleagues thrive and cultivate extraordinary nursing graduates. </p><p>Part-time professors lead asynchronous discussions and teach synchronous live lectures each week, (scheduling AM and PM options for students) and will be available via email, online conferencing or telephone, to provide support and respond to student's enquiries in a timely manner. </p><p><strong>We are presently accepting applications in the following areas of course specialization:</strong></p><p><strong>NR-222:</strong>  <strong>Health and Wellness</strong>  <br> This course introduces students to health promotion and preventive care activities throughout the life span. These activities are explored through biological, psychological, spiritual, environmental and sexual domains. A variety of theories emphasizing health and well-being are explored throughout the course. Healthy People objectives are examined. Health promotion assumptions basic to nursing practice are emphasized.</p><p><br> Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Provides students with an approved Chamberlain syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives.</li><li>Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials as needed.</li><li>Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.</li><li>Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.</li><li>Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.</li><li>Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.</li><li>Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams and provide timely feedback to students.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned</li><li>Complies with all policies and standards</li></ul></div></section><section class="job-section" id="st-qualifications"><div><p class="googlejobs-paragraph--empty"></p><h2 class="title">Qualifications</h2></div><div class="wysiwyg" itemprop="qualifications"><ul><li>Master's Degree in Nursing is required.</li><li>Unencumbered professional nurse licensure (must also be willing to obtain a license in the state of Illinois if one is not already obtained)</li><li>Compact (multi-state) RN license preferred</li><li>Minimum of 2-3 years teaching experience</li><li>Excellent communication skills with high level of initiative and prudent judgment.  </li><li>Have genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning</li><li>Have exceptional subject matter expertise in the field of instruction with excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Are eager to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect and care</li><li>Operate with a sense of responsibility and purpose with the desire to enrich colleagues, students, and the broader community</li></ul></div></section><section class="job-section" id="st-additionalInformation"><div><p class="googlejobs-paragraph--empty"></p><h2 class="title">Additional Information</h2></div><div class="wysiwyg" itemprop="incentives"><p><strong>Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Online:</strong><br> <em>In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.<br> <br> Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
