IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP) Inspector

Role Summary The IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP) Inspector role the subject matter expert in conducting onsite surveillance of fuel storage facilities, into-plane refueling processes and procedures, refueling vehicles, and fueler training at stations where Alaska Airlines aircraft are fueled. As an individual contributor, the IFQP Inspector’s role exercises considerable judgment to provide an accurate assessment of the performance of the fueling operation. Key Duties • Partners with the Quality Assurance leadership to develop a robust fuel audit program. • With minimal direction from leadership, audits vendors who provide fuel storage and fueling services to Alaska Airlines per established IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP) and ATA 103 standards. • Understands and manages processes defined in the IFQP agreement and ATA 103 fueling standards. • Acts as the IFQP Airline Master and point of contact (POC) for Alaska Air Group. • Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with all fueling vendors. • Identifies and reports any significant discrepancies to the Quality Assurance Manager as soon as possible. • Utilizes Safety Management System (SMS) in the daily work habits and remains current in the training requirements for SMS. Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills Required • 4 years of airline industry fuel auditing experience or related area. • Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree. • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, operating policies, and procedures. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). • Detailed oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive outcomes in the best interest of the company. • Frequent travel is required, including international travel. • A valid passport at the time of employment. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum age of 18. • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred • Valid FAA Certification (A&P, Powerplant or Repairman). • Current training as an IATA Fuel Quality Pool Inspector. • Thorough understanding of the ATA 103 standard.
