Industrial Maintenance Technician

<p><strong>Industrial Maintenance Technician | 2nd Shift | Mason, OH </strong></p><p><br></p><p>Hi-Tek Manufacturing (Mason, OH) is searching for experienced <strong>Industrial Maintenance Technician </strong>who wish to develop his or her career in advanced manufacturing technology by executing a higher level of workmanship. The Maintenance Technician should have working fluency in precision CNC machinery: troubleshooting, preventative and routine maintenance, repairs, and calibrations. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Tasks</strong></p><ul><li>Perform general electrical and mechanical maintenance of machinery and equipment</li><li>Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic production equipment</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using appropriate testing devices</li><li>Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems</li><li>Ability to weld as needed (ARC, MIG or TIG)</li><li>Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity. Working on damaged electrical wiring or installing new</li><li>Perform mechanical skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery</li><li>Working from schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose problems</li><li>Operate various platform lifts, including but not limited to fork-lifts, aerial lifts, and scissor lifts</li><li>Operate overhead crane when necessary</li><li>Use a variety of hand/power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties</li><li>Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries</li><li>Follow lock out tag out protocol as required</li><li>Assists other maintenance staff with necessary maintenance and repairs as required. Responds to daily facilities work orders and works on special projects</li><li>Diligence to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked</li><li>Effective communication and people skills</li><li>Performing cleaning activities as needed</li><li>Follows all safety-related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines</li><li>Operate with situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions and communicate concerns to management</li><li>Maintains a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties and keeps work area free from hazards</li><li>Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment</li><li>Ability to operate autonomously and self-direct</li><li>Good and reliable attendance and a team-player attitude are necessary</li><li>Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required</li><li>Completion of maintenance certificate program from either a two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment required</li><li>Knowledge of CNC machines, distributed control systems, and logic controllers required</li><li>Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control system</li><li>Ability to work with low voltage systems</li><li>Experience with E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) work preferred</li><li>Troubleshooting / critical thinking skills</li><li>Must meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Competencies</strong></p><ul><li>The ability to work efficiently with others or independently as required</li><li>Integrity and conscientiousness in all work-related matters</li><li>Safety conscious always</li><li>Reliable attendance within acceptable standards of attendance policy</li><li>Complex problem solving with critical math skills</li><li>Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English</li><li>Must be able to clearly communicate information to others verbally and in writing in English</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Physical Demand Levels </strong></p><ul><li>Lift, push, pull and/or carry up to thirty-five pounds regularly</li><li>Standing or walking at least 95% of scheduled shift</li><li>Routinely perform reaching overhead / at or below shoulder level, twisting, bending, crouching, kneeling, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials</li><li>Ability to perform fine and gross manipulation</li><li>Ability to operate foot or leg controls</li><li>Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, or scaffolding</li><li>Near, Far, or Peripheral visual Acuity naturally or with corrective lenses</li><li>Ability to speak to express or exchange ideas or discuss work instructions</li><li>Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds e.g., machinery alarms, equipment troubleshooting, management instruction, operator feedback on issue needing maintenance or repair</li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (natural or corrected) required with the ability to pass annual vision test as required</li><li>Perform under AS9100 standards</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Shift:</strong> <strong>**2nd shift 3:30pm-12:00am Mon-Fri </strong><em>*OT may be required as needed </em></p><p><strong>Pay: </strong>$22-$35+/hour, + generous shift differential (2nd shift)</p><p><br></p><p>Hi-Tek offers competitive wages and a full benefit package which includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, 9 paid holidays per year, paid vacation time, 401K plan with company match, HSA & Flex Spending programs, supplemental health plans, and more!
