Industrial Maintenance Technician

ProAmpac is hiring for an experienced millwright to join our talented maintenance staff. ProAmpac is a leading global flexible packaging company with comprehensive product offerings. Providing creative packaging solutions, industry-leading customer service and award-winning innovation to a diverse global marketplace. The schedule is 4 days on and 4 days off working nights 6p-6a.

In this role, you would primarily be responsible for responding to trouble calls on industrial equipment, such as, extruders, rewinders, printing presses, as well as support equipment like chillers, air compressors, stretch wrappers, etc.

Essential Duties and Tasks:

  • Repair & maintain machinery, equipment, facilities, systems & grounds.
  • Timely process work orders/requests, prioritizing most critical repairs.
  • Work closely with maintenance, management, internal customers and other departments.
  • Inspect and perform preventative maintenance which may include mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire systems, interior and exterior areas. This is not a full list there may be other areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinate with specialists internal and external when more complex work is needed.
  • Schedules maintenance, repairs and installations to minimize disruptions when possible.
  • Report on and update management and systems on projects, status, schedules, completion changes.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • Journeyman Electrician or Millwright or associate degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting/repairing industrial equipment.
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience with machinery, equipment, internal/external facilities maintenance required.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics.
  • Experience with various types of pumps, bearings, gearboxes, cylinders, alignment techniques.
  • Experience with web handling equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with engineers, mechanics, machine operators, other electricians, and management.
  • Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
