This role is responsible for meeting established sales goals over the telephone by utilizing proven sales techniques and performing other duties as assigned.</p><p></p><p><span class="emphasis">This role may be remote, with preferred candidate to live in CST or EST time zone.</span></p><p></p><p><b>THE DAY TO DAY...</b></p><ul><li><p>Research and compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads along with taking action on lists supplied to them by another source</p></li><li><p>Acquire and maintain knowledge of company product lines, saleable features, knowledge of ordering process</p></li><li><p>The use of individual problem-solving skills while making outbound lead and follow-up contacts to potential and existing customers to qualify leads and sell products and services by overcoming technical and business objections of prospective customers to complete sales and meet established goals</p></li><li><p>Build and maintain relationships with customers, including but not limited to professional landscape contractors and government agencies. May recommend to plans to dealers to increase sales through booking orders, marketing opportunities, promotions, new product introductions and expansion to current product offering</p></li><li><p>Gather and analyze competitive company data using client resources; obtain knowledge of Ariens and Gravely products line features and benefits</p></li><li><p>Track, report and communicate weekly account activity and history; record execution against weekly/monthly goals via calls logs and calls rating data</p></li><li><p>Annual travel will be limited but will be required for annual sales meetings, regional meetings, trade shows or for assistance as needed at regional dealer product and sales training events with the approval of the Inside Sales Manager</p></li><li><p>Consistent follow up with new business opportunities within the District Managers and Business Development Managers’ designated target market business areas and outside of those areas based upon the coverage needs of the specific territory</p><p>Provide District Managers and Business Development Managers weekly prospect opportunities for contact and follow-up. This may include completing all on-boarding documentation for all new business acquired and subsequent follow-up to assure the initial experience and relationship with AriensCo is positive and fulfills the customer’s expectations</p></li><li><p>Assist District Managers with regular contact to what will be identified as lower volume dealers within the territory that do not normally receive a high frequency of contact from the District Manager</p></li><li><p>Actively grow lower volume dealers’ business, assist with booking orders and re-orders, and build the relationship with them via telephone contact</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>THE QUALIFICATIONS...</b></p><ul><li><p>Minimum 1 year related experience in sales and/or customer service is required</p></li><li><p>Strong verbal skills with the ability to be successful communicating and working over the telephone</p></li><li><p>Experience in cold calling potential prospects is required</p></li><li><p>Comfortable working with outlook, word, excel, sales related mapping software, working on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and AS400 systems</p></li><li><p>Work with external web applications developing and monitoring prospect landscape contractor activity and government bid tracking is desired</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with or can learn quickly our key competition in outdoor power equipment</p></li></ul><p></p><p><span style="font-size:14px">Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.</span></p><p></p><h2><i><b>About AriensCo</b></i></h2><p></p><p>Since 1933, the AriensCo name has been associated with reliable, durably crafted, high-performance outdoor power equipment.
