This role supports an AI and Emerging Technology workstream and focuses on creating sustainable, policy-aligned learning content delivered through an online platform. The position emphasizes adult learning design, responsible technology use, Microsoft-first tooling, and the creation of reusable materials that can be maintained after the engagement concludes.<br><br> </div><div><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></div><div><strong>Training Strategy & Curriculum Development</strong></div><ul> <li>Design a comprehensive AI and automation literacy scope and sequence for agency staff</li> <li>Define learning objectives and structured learning pathways aligned with organizational needs</li> <li>Develop mandatory training modules covering responsible use, unacceptable use, policy alignment, and Microsoft Copilot fundamentals</li> <li>Design optional advanced modules covering prompting, automation concepts, Copilot agents, Power BI, and related approved tools</li> </ul><div><strong>Instructional Design & Content Development</strong></div><ul> <li>Develop web-based learning assets, e-learning modules, and instructor-led training materials</li> <li>Create facilitator guides, job aids, training videos, and reusable instructional content</li> <li>Build and organize training content within an online learning platform or learning management system</li> <li>Translate complex technical, policy, privacy, and security concepts into clear, practical training for technical and non-technical audiences</li> </ul><div><strong>Assessment, Sustainment & Governance Alignment</strong></div><ul> <li>Recommend assessment methods and completion tracking approaches</li> <li>Develop sustainment documentation to enable long-term maintenance and evolution of the training program</li> <li>Ensure all training aligns with organizational policy, governance, privacy, security, and approved tooling standards</li> <li>Support responsible and consistent adoption of AI and automation tools across the organization</li> </ul><div> <strong>Collaboration & Enablement<br></strong>Partner with stakeholders to validate training needs and content effectiveness</div><ul> <li>Support instructor-led sessions, office hours, or enablement activities as needed</li> <li>Contribute to continuous improvement of training materials based on feedback and adoption outcomes</li> </ul><div><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></div><ul> <li>5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and implementing training curricula</li> <li>5 or more years of experience conducting technical or systems-related training</li> <li>5 or more years of experience developing web-based and instructor-led learning materials</li> <li>3 or more years of experience building training in an online platform or learning management system</li> <li>3 or more years of experience translating technical concepts into training for technical and non-technical audiences</li> <li>2 or more years of experience designing training related to policy, responsible use, privacy, security, or governance-aligned technology adoption</li> <li>2 or more years of experience supporting Microsoft-based productivity or cloud technology training environments</li> </ul><div><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></div><ul> <li>Experience developing AI literacy, automation, or digital enablement training</li> <li>Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Query, or related Microsoft tools</li> <li>Experience creating role-based learning pathways, ongoing enablement models, or sustainment materials</li> <li>Public-sector or education agency experience</li> <li>Experience designing training that builds foundational understanding and practical confidence using AI</li> </ul><div><strong>Core Skills & Attributes</strong></div><ul> <li>Strong instructional design and adult learning expertise</li> <li>Ability to simplify complex technical and policy concepts</li> <li>Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills</li> <li>Highly organized with strong attention to structure and reuse</li> <li>Ability to work independently in a part-time consulting capacity</li> <li>Focus on sustainability, governance, and responsible technology adoption</li> </ul> </div> <p>This is a remote position.</p>
