IRS Transcript & Entity Classification Verification (Quick Task)

Hi,

I’m looking for a US CPA (or EA) to assist with a very specific and time-sensitive IRS verification task for a US entity (EIN available).

Scope of work (strictly limited):

1. Contact the IRS (Business & Specialty Tax Line) and confirm the current federal tax classification for the EIN

- Specifically: whether the entity is currently treated as a C Corporation or a disregarded entity (single-member LLC)

2. Confirm whether Form 1120 for tax year 2024 has been:

- Filed

- Received

- Processed/accepted by the IRS

3. Provide a short written summary confirming:

- Current IRS classification

- 2024 Form 1120 status

Additional context (for reference only):

- The entity was originally set up with an SS-4 indicating C Corporation intent

- There appears to be conflicting information regarding how the IRS currently classifies the entity

- Attempts to e-file Form 1120 have been rejected

- A Form 1120 for tax year 2024 may have been submitted by mail (not e-filed), and needs to be verified

Important notes:

- This is NOT a full tax engagement

- No tax filing, no restructuring, and no advisory beyond the above scope

- Please do NOT expand scope unless explicitly requested

I can provide:

- EIN and entity details

- Form 2848 (POA) if needed

Timing:

- This is urgent — ideally completed within 24 hours

Deliverable:

- Short written confirmation (email/message is sufficient)

- IRS transcript for tax year 2024 (if available)

Please include in your proposal:

- Estimated turnaround time

- Fixed price for this task

Thanks!
