Get ready to unearth your true potential and dig into the exciting world of HEI Civil!</p><hr><p>We are seeking a highly motivated <strong>Construction Laborer</strong> who performs tasks involving physical labor at underground utility construction projects, operating a variety of hand and power tools, and assisting in various construction-related tasks.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in underground utility construction projects; performs manual work in preparing the site for the contracted scope of work.</p></li><li><p>Shovels dirt, concrete, asphalt, and various other construction materials into construction areas.</p></li><li><p>Excavates and fills trenches and ditches.</p></li><li><p>Maintains a clean job site: picks up and delivers all tools and equipment and secures the job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.</p></li><li><p>Performs materials handling and storage.</p></li><li><p>Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials.</p></li><li><p>Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the foreman, safety director, or supervisor.</p></li><li><p>Work hours begin at 7:00 am.</p></li><li><p>Assist pipe layer, equipment operator, and foreman as needed.</p></li><li><p>Traffic control flagging as needed.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>OSHA 30 preferred, minimum OSHA 10 accepted.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Education</strong>: High school diploma or GED.</p></li><li><p><strong>Experience</strong>: Two years of experience (preferred).</p></li></ul>
