Laborer Foreman (concrete and carpentry) - MIP

<strong>Summary <br><br></strong>Mortenson is currently seeking a <strong>Craft Foreman</strong> that will be responsible for coordinating crews, preparing, handling, and supplying materials to be used by other crafts.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures </li><li>Supervise and coordinate activities of laborers and their assigned roles </li><li>Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders </li><li>Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations </li><li>Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules, using knowledge of equipment capacities and assigned personnel </li><li>Study and analyze schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion </li><li>Analyze and resolve work problems </li><li>Maintain time records </li><li>Make cost estimates for contracts </li><li>Use logical step-by-step procedures in work; plan work and solve problems; make decisions based on measurable information; may operate machinery </li><li>Provide work direction to laborer I, II, Journeyman, Apprentice, and Helpers </li><li>Work according to standard, detailed instructions and established, well-defined procedures </li><li>Determine work method from alternatives </li><li>Work under broad assignments </li><li>Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels </li><li>Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance </li><li>All other duties as assigned <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Minimum ten (10) years related experience preferred </li><li>Must possess union specific training </li><li>Current driver’s license </li><li>Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; ability to work with machinery such as forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies </li><li>Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback </li><li>Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements </li><li>*Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Please note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
