Requirements There is a need for OB/GYN HOSPITALIST at HAZLETON Preference given to providers local to LVHN sites.

Certifications required: MD/DO board certified in general obstetrics/gynecology PA medical license Description of required duties: Inpatient obstetrics triage labor management vaginal and Cesarean birth postpartum sterilization postpartum care and gynecology emergency department and floor consults acute surgical care possibly scheduled DampE for miscarriage Procedures required: obstetrics including triage evaluation point of care limited obstetric ultrasound induction of labor vaginal birth laceration repair OVD hemorrhage management Cesarean birth postpartum sterilization postplacental IUD placement Nexplanon insertion gynecology including first trimester DampE surgical management of ectopic pregnancy torsion other gyn emergencies Supporting staff: nursing technical and perioperative support CNM/PA weekdays Inhouse anesthesia Level 1 nursery with inhouse pediatric support Call: 24-hour call 7a-7a Volume: approx. 750 births annually Hospital: 700 E Broad Street Hazleton PA 18201 Assignment Length: undetermined length of time
