Logistics Manager - El Paso (32800)

Position Summary The Logistics Manager is responsible for the successful development, implementation, coordination, and continual improvement of logistics processes for all assigned projects. This includes development and refinement of related systems and processes, conducting on- site/jobsite coaching, and conducting training to enhance jobsite logistics performance as a means to foster a culture of productivity that permeates our services throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to logistics processes and productivity improvement, have knowledge of and experience in the electrical field is desired. Confidentiality is essential for this position.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Relationship Driven:
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective operations and customer service.
  • Collaborates with Preconstruction Team, Project Managers and Project Superintendents to assist with the development of effective logistics plans.
  • Coordinates with off-site construction, warehousing, and outside suppliers to ensure that all material and tooling requirements for a given project are met.
  • Acts as a liaison between a project’s outside stakeholders and that project’s onsite logistics team.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Collaborates with the Logistics Operations Manager to ensure developed and defined processes are meeting expected outcomes.
  • Trains and develops onsite personnel to meet defined outcomes for Field Supply Chain and Logistics operations.
  • Ability to obtain train the trainer for all material handling equipment and ability to communicate and teach Field Logistics Personnel.

  • Assists projects with the establishment and execution of project specific site logistics plan.
  • Develops, implements, monitors, and analyzes logistics key performance indicators and reports these to appropriate leaders.
  • Ensures tool audits are assigned and completed to accurately account for all deployed company tool assets

  • Possess strong knowledge of MS Excel and other inventory management software.
  • Leverage technology tools for accurate record-keeping, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Ability to record, document and communicate onsite processes to create consistent operations across all supported projects.

  • Continuous Improvement
  • Coordinates with project leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement through various means to include off-site construction usage, value added services and onsite logistics.
  • Propose business process improvements through workflow analysis methods to support system development throughout project life cycle.
  • Manage data through a combination of data mining, modeling, analysis, cost-benefit analysis, process mapping and/or problem analysis to support data management initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.

Qualifications Education and Experience
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in Warehousing, Supply Chain, or Logistics management
  • Experience in construction or a related field.
Travel Requirements
  • Demonstrate a willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to various locations across the U.S. to provide on-site support, training, and oversight.
Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities
  • Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing tools and general construction materials.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background check.
