Long-term Substitute Paraprofessional

This is a long-term substitute position only until the end of the 2025-2026 school year and pays $15 hr. This position is 32.5 hours per week (6.5 hours per day with a 1/2 unpaid lunch break). The paraprofessional will support special education students in the regular education inclusion setting. In addition, the paraprofessional will support students in a small group academic support setting.Responsibilities include: Prepare instructional material and learning activities in assigned classroom.Provide direct instruction to groups of students or individuals in or out of the classroom.This may include: Implementation of individualized and small group instruction and discussionsAccommodating and modifying materials to match students needs as prescribed by the teacher.Assist with the collection of student data.Consult with teachers on students progress and on specific strategies and methodologies to be used.Supervise unstructured time such as recess and/or lunch duty unless directed otherwise.Assist the teacher in clean-up.Assists with any other tasks students are not able to perform for themselvesDepending on assignment, provide assistance in escorting children to and from vehicles during drop-off or pick-up.Assist students in using technology.Assist substitutes in following lesson plans when classroom teacher is absentAbility to lift 30lbs.
