About The Job
As Category Commercial Manager, you will be accountable for:
Informing and contributing to the Commercial Strategy (4P) fundamentals for the category. These strategies include objectives that drive sustainable, profitable growth in the Danone Canada BU and with Customers. You will play a key role in facilitating the communication between sales and brand marketing, providing the business intelligence for given category to the sales team to create and develop customer plans, and steward the go-to-market processes ensuring that sales/customer voice is considered (customer business planning/JBP, new product launches, supply chain allocations, hold-back estimates for trade spend allocation, etc.). Understand the "what" that is happening to the business and deliver the "how" we are impacting.
More specifically:
- Analyze the information that allows the sales strategy team to better understand the category and its challenges.
- Influence pricing, trade promotions, shelving and assortment strategies for the portfolio to deliver against our Sales KPIs
- Develop and recommend tools and approaches needed to strengthen the business through category management, key customers, marketing and sales force.
- Identify and quantify the opportunities for Danone Canada and inform the category commercial team.
- Recommend tactical action plans (assortment, promotion, price)
- Feed Danone Canada’s commercial strategy (4Ps and brand).
- Actively participate in weekly meetings with customer’s teams to understand issues and actions to be taken.
- Monitor key indicators of sales strategy (KPIs).
- Manage special projects.
Compensation, Benefits & Hiring Transparency
The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $110,000 CAD. The final salary offered will be determined by factors such as relevant experience and qualifications, internal equity and external market conditions.
