Implement a thorough evaluation process to assess the impact of initiatives within focus categories. Conduct pre-post analysis or A/B testing to compare performance metrics before and after the launch of initiatives, or between different groups. Determine the incremental value generated by initiatives by isolating their effects from other variables to accurately measure growth and success. Use actionable insights from the analysis to make informed decisions, such as extending successful initiatives or modifying them to better align with evolving needs and strategic goals. Employ a systematic approach to gain a comprehensive understanding of the performance of focus categories. Evaluate live and new listings to understand market availability and freshness. Analyze sales, volume, and price to assess consumer demand and market dynamics. Track visits and views to gauge customer interest and interaction. Conduct in-depth analyses during events and launches to understand their impact on focus categories, identifying trends and opportunities. Identify engaged consumers by analyzing metrics across their lifecycle, from website visits to purchases, for a comprehensive understanding. Develop methodologies for the early detection of potential engaged cohorts. Implement strategies such as personalized experiences and loyalty programs to retain engaged consumers, fostering long-term relationships. Assess whether each initiative within the Focus Categories strategy at eBay resonates with users, analyzes its potential impact, and provide early insights to support leadership decision-making. Create a scalable and robust framework that can identify engaged consumers early in their journey based on a combination of internal and external factors and Monitor and improve the framework. Partial telecommuting may be permitted from within a commutable distance.</p><p></p><p><b>What you will bring:</b><br />Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field) or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.</p><p></p><p>Special Skill Requirements:</p><p></p><p>1.    SQL - experience in writing optimized SQL queries for large-scale relational databases, data cleaning, aggregation, and performance tuning to deep dive into category business and user journey (3 years)<br />2.    Tableau  - Expertise in building interactive dashboards and advanced data visualizations to support decision-making (3 years)<br />3.    Python - Experience in Python for data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling, including use of libraries like pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch/TensorFlow (3 years)<br />4.    Excel - build analytical models, automate workflows, and perform data analysis using advanced formulas, pivot tables (3 years)<br />5.    Hadoop / Big Data Ecosystems - Hands-on experience using distributed computing tools (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) for processing and analyzing large datasets (3 years)<br />6.    Natural Language Processing (NLP) – Experience with NLP techniques (e.g., text mining, sentiment analysis, topic modeling) to extract insights from unstructured data (1 year)<br />7.    Statistical Analysis & Modeling - Experience applying statistical methods (hypothesis testing, regression, time series, A/B testing) for business insights and experimentation (3 years)<br />8.    Prompt Engineering - Experience designing, testing, and refining prompts for large language models (LLMs) such as GPT and ability to structure prompts to optimize model outputs, reduce hallucinations, and ensure alignment with business objectives (1 year)</p><p></p><p>Salary: $174,826.00-227,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.</p><p><br />Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. <br /> </p><p style="text-align:left !important"></p><p style="text-align:left !important"><b>Additional Details</b></p><p></p><p style="text-align:left !important">Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
