Manager, Marketing Events & Activations [Remote]

<p> CNN is seeking a Manager to join the Brand Activation & Events team based in New York. The Manager is responsible for spearheading the planning and execution of activations across CNN's portfolio of programs and products, as well as supporting employee engagements and executive initiatives. The role requires the ability to lead strategically, while also being hands-on in the day-to-day needs of planning and execution. The Manager should have the ability to manage workstreams effectively and efficiently, think independently and creatively, and have exceptional attention to detail and strong organization skills. Candidates need to have a healthy interest in the news and the media industry, an adaptability to adjust to a fast-paced environment, along with familiarity with CNN's networks and platforms. This position will be in our Hudson Yards office in New York with a Monday-Thursday in-office work schedule, remote on Fridays.<br /> Your Role Accountabilities…<br /> • Project manage all aspects of assigned activations, including timelines, briefs, budgets, production requirements, list management, event execution and post-event reports<br /> • Oversee existing vendor relationships to maintain production quality throughout all projects, activations, and events and ensure on time deliveries within budget<br /> • Scout new vendors and venues to allow for competitive advantages for the brand<br /> • Develop and grow talent relations initiatives and programs including creating and maintaining gifting databases, tracking milestones, and managing gifting inventory<br /> • Oversee companywide premium ordering and swag inventory for department<br /> • Communicate effectively with cross functional stakeholders including creative marketing, production, publicity, partnerships, programming, social, digital and streaming<br /> • Provide comprehensive project recaps and performance reports for senior leadership team<br /> • Partner with finance to accurately manage departmental budgets, reconciling invoices and expense tracking<br /> • Participate in brainstorm sessions and drive innovation within the team to create new event experiences<br /> <br /> Qualifications & Experience…<br /> • 6-8 years of direct experience in event production and management<br /> • Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant experience.<br /> • Proven experience executing large-scale events and activations, including vendor management and budget oversight<br /> • Strong knowledge of venues and vendors across the US<br /> • Ability to multi-task and be highly productive in a fast-paced environment<br /> • Excels in a dynamic team, and can communicate effectively to a variety of stakeholders<br /> • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills<br /> <br /> Championing Inclusion at WBD<br /> Warner Bros. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $77,000.00 - $143,000.00 salary per year.
