The pay range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000/yr USD. ABOUT THE ROLE: Skechers Digital Ecommerce Group is seeking a talented Manager of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to support and execute the SEO / AEO strategy as we continue to evolve our direct-to-consumer (DTC) business. This role contributes to and executes the end-to-end organic roadmap, including technical SEO, content strategy, GEO/AEO innovation, and local store visibility to support scalable customer acquisition and revenue impact. Partnering closely with Digital ecommerce, Promotions, IT, Retail merchandising Creative/Brand and Customer Care teams, this manager will help embed search-first thinking into the roadmap while communicating measurable impacts on business outcomes. Our ideal candidate has strong business acumen for planning, executing, and analyzing organic media channels to drive brand awareness and ecommerce growth. This role requires exceptional capabilities in strategy development, campaign execution, data analysis, and performance reporting. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Execute and contribute to holistic global SEO + GEO/AEO strategy aligned to Skechers business goals, balancing technical and content initiatives. Partner closely with Digital ecommerce, Promotions, IT, Retail merchandising and Creative/Brand to ensure SEO is embedded into the digital roadmap, site experiences, and campaign planning. Monitor, analyze, and report organic performance to leadership and cross-functional teams. Clearly communicating results, trends, risks, and future opportunities while contributing to outcome ownership. Serve as the resident search expert by staying ahead of algorithm shifts and industry trends, educating internal teams and external partners, and managing agencies/contractors through influence and strong operating cadence. Manage local listings as a dedicated organic growth lever and support store reputation visibility initiatives in partnership with Retail and Customer Experience teams. Lead, manage, and mentor a team of SEO professionals, setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and supporting career development. WHAT YOU’LL BRING: Strong proficiency in platforms including Google Search Console, Merchant Center, SEMrush, Botify (or equivalent enterprise crawling tools), and emerging AI search measurement platforms. Demonstrated curiosity and innovation in the evolving search landscape, AI, GEO/AEO, with specific examples of experimentation and impact rather than surface-level familiarity. Strong proficiency in AI engines, with knowledge of advanced prompt engineering, data handling, and the ability to choose the right tool for specific business contexts to support team productivity and execution. Operational mindset with the ability to roll up sleeves to support the development of new processes, workflows, reporting systems, within the SEO team and in coordination with agency partners. REQUIREMENTS: 4-6 years of SEO experience with a proven track record of driving measurable organic growth through solid expertise in both technical and content strategies.
