With 40+ years of experience in the insurtech game, we’re not just redefining what’s achievable, we’re creating a place where amazing career moments are made possible.  </p> <p>  </p> <p><strong>Position Overview</strong>  </p> <p>We're seeking a seeking a dynamic and experienced <strong>Manager, Software Engineering</strong> to lead a team building data-driven software products and platforms. You’ll guide engineers to develop scalable data solutions as we continuously deliver analytics and AI capabilities across our product portfolio.  You’ll partner closely with Product Management, Architecture, and Engineering leaders to plan and deliver roadmap commitments, solve technical challenges, and grow a high-performing team.  </p> <p>  </p> <strong>What You’ll Do</strong> <ul> <li>Lead and develop a high-performing team building and scaling data products  </li> <li>Own delivery of new features and enhancements aligned to the product roadmap while maintaining reliability, increasing scalability, and reducing defects  </li> <li>Collaborate with Product Management and Architecture on quarterly planning, estimates, and technical designs  </li> <li>Monitor delivery metrics, identify dependencies, address blockers, and drive continuous improvement in processes and documentation  </li> <li>Provide hands-on technical leadership and address tradeoffs and technical issues in modern cloud-based environments for data-intensive applications  </li> <li>Support adoption of new technologies with a culture of high performance and continuous learning   </li> </ul> <p> </p> <strong>We’re looking for someone who:</strong> <ul> <li><strong>Has the ability to work from an Applied Systems office or 100% remotely</strong></li> <li><strong>Your experience should include some or all of the following:</strong> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience designing and developing data-intensive solutions  </li> <li>3+ years leading software engineers to deliver new features and/or system enhancements  </li> <li>Hands‑on experience building production‑grade services in GoLang, with the ability to guide engineers through design, implementation, and troubleshooting </li> <li>Deep, practical experience developing cloud‑native applications, especially Kubernetes </li> <li>Demonstrated strength in coaching and developing technical team members  </li> <li>Advanced knowledge of software development practices, cloud platforms, and secure, scalable data services   </li> <li>Experience with Agile/Scrum and tools such as Jira and Confluence.  </li> <li>Proven ability to plan and estimate work, manage technical and operational issues, and drive continuous improvement  </li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.  </li> <li>We know that talent comes from all backgrounds and experience levels. To determine a new team member’s starting pay, we consider a variety of factors, including someone’s depth, breadth, and variety of experience, skills, and responsibilities.
