Join our Weather Operations Team and help deliver 24/7 meteorological and oceanographic services to clients across North America and beyond. Your Impact

  • Provide verbal and written weather briefings to help clients plan, mitigate, and reduce operational risks.
  • Produce accurate weather forecasts several times daily for multiple industry sectors using advanced tools and software.
  • Deliver high-quality meteorological analysis through WSP’s 24/7 on-demand consultation services (phone, email, chat).
  • Monitor evolving weather conditions and hazards, performing continuous nowcasting for clients.
  • Issue severe weather alerts across North America and conduct post-event analysis to improve prediction and response.
  • Prepare technical reports such as case studies, seasonal outlooks, hurricane outlooks, and post-storm analyses.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor of Science in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science from a WMO-compliant program (required).
  • Bilingual fluency in French and English.
  • Ability to work rotating day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills; ability to perform under pressure during high-impact events.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in a collaborative team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a growth mindset and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Experience with GIS software, coding (Python, SQL, VBA), data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau), or AI applications (asset).
  • Previous operational forecasting experience or willingness to work offshore on platforms and ships.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $60,100 – $79,600

MB & ON: $54,800 – $75,400

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $54,200 – $72,000

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The wage range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
