Operations Clerk

DeGeest Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Operations Clerk to support the daily operations of our Steel Works and Automation divisions. This role is responsible for processing customer orders, generating work orders and purchase orders, managing ERP system data, coordinating inventory transactions, supporting shipping/logistics, and helping ensure accurate communication between production, customers, and vendors.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy working cross-functionally with operations, engineering, production, and supply chain teams. Experience with ERP systems, manufacturing processes, Microsoft Excel, and administrative coordination is preferred but not required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Customer order entry and work order processing
  • ERP system data management and auditing
  • Inventory and material transaction support
  • Generating job travelers, labels, and packing lists
  • Coordinating freight and logistics
  • Supporting operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicating with customers, vendors, and internal teams

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related manufacturing, operations, or administrative experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a changing environment
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office preferred
