This role remains hands-on – you’ll still write code for critical components – but with a stronger focus on system-level architecture, team leadership, and ensuring that our projects meet both technical and business objectives. You’ll make key design decisions (data models, API contracts, deployment topology) and ensure the solution aligns with clients’ business goals and can scale for future needs </li><li>Stay hands-on with development: Balance high-level design with hands-on coding by building critical components and prototypes to set coding standards and solve complex problems. While you won’t code every feature, you will establish the technical baseline – writing foundational modules, exploring new Optimizely capabilities (such as GraphQL APIs or personalization features), and guiding the team’s implementation through example and code reviews </li><li>Lead and mentor a distributed team: Provide delivery leadership for a mixed onshore/offshore development team, coordinating work across time zones and ensuring everyone is aligned. You’ll mentor junior and mid-level developers through pair programming, code reviews, and coaching, fostering a culture of engineering excellence. By delegating tasks effectively and offering guidance, you’ll elevate the team’s capabilities and maintain a high standard of quality across the codebase </li><li>Own planning and delivery in an Agile environment: Take an active role in project planning and estimation oversight.
