Payroll Specialist

<p><span>The Payroll Specialist ensures the accurate and timely administration of global payroll, benefits, and statutory compliance in alignment with US, Mexican, and Philippine labor laws. This role requires proficiency in both HRIS payroll systems and manual payroll processes, advanced knowledge of Excel, and a strong background in final pay computation and statutory contributions for Filipino (SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, and BIR) and global employees. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and have demonstrated experience handling payroll complexities. The Payroll Specialist will be joining the MaryRuth’s People Experience team, reporting to the Director of People Experience.<strong> This is a full-time (40 hour/week), paid, salaried, remote role requiring working a US timezone, preferably aligning with EST or CST hours. The compensation range for this role is PHP 118,750 - 142,500 per month. </strong></span><br></p><div><p><span><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></p></div><div><p><span><strong>Payroll Administration:</strong></span></p></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for global employees, ensuring accuracy, verifying inputs, resolving payroll discrepancies promptly, and compliance with local labor laws.</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Ensure all tax deductions, statutory benefits, and employee compensations are processed in line with labor regulations (primary countries are Philippines, Mexico and US).</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Triage department service tickets and respond to payroll-related employee queries, providing timely and accurate resolutions.</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Process US final pay and partner with our Employer of Record (EOR) in the calculation of the final pay for separating employees, including pro-rated salaries, unused leave balances, and statutory deductions.</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Collaborate with other departments and vendor partners for seamless clearance processes.</span></p></li></ul></div><div><p><span><strong>Compensation:</strong></span></p></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Support annual compensation market pricing reviews.</span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p><span>Validate and audit statutory and company provided accrued paid time benefits;
