Position Overview:

Blanchard Valley Urology Associates, part of the Blanchard Valley Health System, is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant with prior urology or gynecology experience to join a high-volume, collaborative urology practice. This opportunity provides a rewarding environment with flexible scheduling, no on-call responsibilities, access to advanced clinical technology, and avenues for long-term professional growth within a nationally recognized nonprofit health system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient urological care, managing approximately 15-20 patients daily.
  • Evaluate and treat new and established urology patients, including performing thorough assessments and follow-up visits.
  • Assist urologists with pre-operative and post-operative evaluations, ensuring continuity of patient care.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, medications, and treatment options to promote understanding and adherence.
  • Support clinical workflow including preparing for procedures and managing clinic operations.
  • Conduct occasional inpatient hospital rounding to coordinate inpatient care, with no call duties involved.
  • Accurately document all patient encounters using Cerner or Oracle Health EMR systems, incorporating AI-assisted documentation tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in urology care within a fast-paced environment.
  • Adhere to organizational standards for quality, safety, and compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Current NCCPA certification (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of [X] years of relevant urology or gynecology clinical experience; new graduates are not eligible.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced healthcare setting.
  • Availability to work full-time in a flexible 4- or 5-day schedule.
